Certificate in Border Management and International Trade
The Certificate Program in Border Management and International Trade bridges the traditional disciplines and creates a distinctive learning environment that aims to address emerging trends in the global economy. Border management refers both to the execution of customs, security and immigration functions by government agencies and to the administration of customs and other trade compliance, cross-border supply chains security and cross-border movement of personnel by private sector firms. Career paths in Border Management and International Trade include service in border related government agencies; international trade professionals such as customs brokers/managers and freight forwarders; logistics analysts and managers, storage and distribution managers, supply chain managers and supply chain security specialists; and international sales and marketing managers. The skills acquired in this program will also help owners and managers of small and medium sized firms expand their markets across international borders. The admission requirements and corresponding supporting documentation will vary based on your career stage and geographic location. Students are granted admission to the program satisfy the following requirements:
1) Bachelor’s degree, AND one of the following:

The Law and Politics Certificate is constructed to provide students with an academically rigorous set of courses that foster the skill sets demanded by law schools, and to provide students with an introduction to the ways in which legal studies intersect with political science, philosophy, history, women’s studies and social justice. This certificate can be completed in conjunction with a Political Science degree or any major within the Faculty of Arts and Social Science or the wider university and will be of interest to any student intending to pursue a career in law. The Odette School of Business’ Certificate in Organizational Management program is intended for students interested in a career in Human Resources. This program gives students an opportunity to complete the majority of HRPA’s coursework requirements for both the CHRP and CHRL designations. Admission requirements are the same as those for the Honours Business Administration degree.

Honours Certificate in Physics
The UWindsor Department of Physics offers an Honours Certificate in Physics. The certificate will be awarded to students who complete eight courses in areas of physics that will provide them with sufficient background knowledge to pursue a physics graduate degree.

This program may also be taken by current third-and-fourth-year undergraduate science and engineering students at the University of Windsor (certificate to be completed concurrently with their degree program).
What Will I Learn?
- This certificate will provide students with fundamental knowledge needed to be successful upon acceptance into a physics graduate program.
- Students will engage in experiential learning by completing either an internship (SCIE-3990), undergraduate research (SCIE-3900), or service learning (SCIE-3800).
Post Graduate Certificate in Accounting
The Odette School of Business’ Post-Graduate Certificate in Accounting is designed for students with a post-secondary undergraduate degree who are interested in pursuing a career in Accounting. The Certificate program gives students an opportunity to complete all the required preparatory courses necessary to qualify for the Fast Track MBA- Professional Accounting Specialization or for CPA Ontario’s Professional Education Program (PEP). Students holding an undergraduate business degree from another post-secondary institution or a non-business degree that have obtained a cumulative average of 67% in the last two years of their undergraduate study are eligible for admission into this program.

Public Administration
The Certificate in Public Administration is a non-degree program offered by the Department of Political Science, which recognizes a concentration of learning within the discipline. The course requirements for the Certificate program may be completed independently of a degree program. Students currently enrolled in a degree program can, through careful course selection, simultaneously complete the Certificate requirements.

Second Language Education
The Certificate in Second Language Education is an innovative and unique experience as students in this program can approach second language education both as students and teachers. Students are first trained in the foundations of linguistics and later on introduced to the major theories and methodologies of second language acquisition and education that have inspired this field in the last few decades. Moreover, the Certificate in Second Language Education offers students the opportunity to gain hands-on experience while observing and teaching classes of English as a second language. At the same time, students will take two language courses at the beginner’s level in one of the languages offered by the Department. Women’s and Gender Studies
Through the certificate in Women’s and Gender Studies, you will explore how gender, race and sexualities shape your daily life and the relationships you foster. You’ll learn from world-renowned leaders in the areas of equity, diversity and inclusion, and sexual assault resistance education.

What Will I Learn?
- Analyze the diversity of women’s experiences and consciousness based on different social positions and identities, with particular emphasis on race/ethnicity, sexuality, class, and religion; and evaluate the social structures and processes that shape experience and consciousness.
- Evaluate how feminists in the past have developed new knowledge and practice to advance social justice.
- Engage in critical self-reflection to identify one’s own position in relation to structures of privilege and oppression.
Work and Employment Issues (General stream or CHRP Designation stream)
The Certificate in Work & Employment Issues is about revealing and understanding the importance of work in our lives, it’s about grappling with the problems, limitations, and challenges of workplaces, and ultimately, it’s about figuring out ways to make improvements for all workers.
