At various UWindsor Welcome Week 2024 events, ballots will be provided by volunteers and UWindsor Staff members to encourage Lancer spirit and participation among incoming students. Eligible Entrants (defined below) can submit ballots to the Prize Draw at the corresponding event where they were distributed for the chance to win sponsored prizes.

  1. CONTEST
    1. The University of Windsor Student Success & Leadership Centre (“University”) is the sponsor of the University of Windsor Welcome Week Tuition and Prize Draw Contest (“Contest”).
    2. This Contest will begin Sunday September 1st, 2024, at 12:01am Eastern Time (ET) and end Wednesday, September 4th, 2024, at 6:00 pm ET (“Contest Period”).
  2. ELIGIBILITY, HOW TO ENTER
    1. No purchase necessary. Limit one entry per person. This Contest is open to legal residents of Canada, excluding Quebec, who have reached the age of majority in their province or territory at the time of entry.
    2. The Contest is open to all individuals who are admitted as new students to the University of Windsor for Fall 2024, entering a first-degree entry undergraduate program, excluding law and consecutive education. The Contest is open to all registered first-year undergraduate students (“Entrant(s)”).
    3. Entrants may enter this Contest by completing all the following:
      1. Must attend the Welcome Week event that is drawing the prize.
      2. If an Entrant attends their Program Orientation or the Welcome Celebration where the $4000 tuition prize is being drawn, the Entrant will earn one (1) Contest ballot upon entry to the event.
      3. If an Entrant participates in Blue & Gold Bingo and wins 1 round of Blue and Gold Bingo, they can win the prize specified in that round. Ballots will not be given out for this event.
      4. An Eligible Entrant must completely and accurately fill out the required information listed on the front side of every ballot, prior to submission of ballots into the ballot box, to be eligible to win in the event that his/her ballot is drawn. Information collected from submitted ballots will be used solely to identify a winning entrant.
      5. An eligible Entrant must correctly answer a skill-testing question on the back side of every ballot, prior to submission of ballots into the ballot box, to be eligible to win in the event that his/her ballot is drawn.
    4. All University of Windsor staff members and Welcome Week volunteers are ineligible entrants.
  3. HOW TO WIN
    1. For the $4000 Tuition Draw and other prizes drawn during the Welcoming Celebration one (1) winner will be randomly selected from all eligible entries received on at the Welcoming Celebration. All selected winners of a Welcoming Celebration prize must be present to win. If the selected winner is not present, another winner will be randomly selected from the remaining eligible entries. The University will contact the selected winners of a physical prize and arrange for the winner to pick up their prize in-person or have the prize mailed to the winner’s place of residence, subject to the University’s discretion. Odds of winning depend on the number of valid entries received.
    2. For the Blue & Gold Bingo Event winners can win 1 prize designated to each round. After winning a prize, participants cannot win a second prize. Odds of winning depend on how many rounds of Bingo occur.
    3. As a condition of winning a prize, all winners must correctly answer the University administered, time-limited, skill testing question.
    4. Each winner agrees that the University may publish the winner’s name.
    5. If the selected winner is deemed ineligible due to withdrawal from all courses and cease being a University of Windsor student, the prize will be forfeited, and another winner will not be selected. All winners of a tuition prize will receive their prizes in their UWindsor student account the next calendar day after the Financial Drop Date for Fall 2024 courses, the date as set by the University of Windsor Office of the Registrar (the date to be announced and subject to change).
