STUDENT SPOTLIGHT

See what other international students say about life at the University of Windsor.

My University of Windsor experience has been amazing. I have wanted to attend UWindsor since high school. I have heard it has the best law school which is where I hope my academic path takes me. Since starting here, I have found my lectures so helpful and insightful. My professors are so knowledgeable and friendly.

Living on campus has many benefits. I have made so many friends while living in Laurier Hall and all the events keep me busy. The meal plan has saved me time, plus the food is great. One of the best parts of my experience was working for the residence services developing skills and building relationships with staff and students.

I travelled to Canada to study at the University of Windsor from Uganda. I was enrolled in the Bachelor of Science Co-op with a minor in Computer Information Systems. I found myself using on-campus resources and supports such as the International Student Centre (ISC) and Residence Services. The ISC is where International Students can go to find help with the adjustment of living in Canada and they assisted me to learn more about Canadian banking, where to find groceries and helped with taxes. My advice to international students would be to make the most out of your experience. Four years can go by very fast and it is important to utilize all the resources available to you at the University of Windsor.
