Global Impact Scholarship?

Designed for amazing international graduate students ready to change the world, this $4,000 award gives you a boost of $1,000 every term during your master’s journey at UWindsor. It’s not just a scholarship; it’s your chance to shine and show what you’re made of!
How do I apply?
You will automatically be considered for the Global Impact Scholarship when you apply to one of the qualifying programs at the University of Windsor and meet all of the requirements listed below. There are no required additional application steps for the Global Impact Scholarship.
Who can apply?
To be eligible for the Global Impact Scholarship, you must meet the following criteria:
- Be a citizen of one of the designated countries eligible for the scholarship.
- Enrol in one of the following course-based master programs at the University of Windsor.
- Master of Actuarial Science
- Master of Applied Computing
- Master of Applied Economics and Policy
- Master of Engineering
- Master of Management
- Master of Materials Chemistry and Engineering
- Master of Medical Biotechnology
- Demonstrate a strong academic record and a commitment to creating positive global impact through your studies and future endeavors.
Designated Countries
- ASEAN (except Viet Nam): Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand
- Caribbean: The Bahamas, Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago
- North and Central America: Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Nicaragua, Panama
- South America: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, Venezuela
All Master's Programs are exempt from student permit caps and provincial attestation requirements.

Global Impact Scholarship Details
Rules and Regulations
- Eligibility Criteria:
- To be considered for the Global Impact Scholarship, applicants must be citizens of one of the designated countries specified in the list provided in Section 3.
- Applicants must be enrolled in one of the following course-based master programs at the University of Windsor:
- Master of Management
- Master of Engineering
- Master of Medical Biotechnology
- Master of Applied Computing
- Master of Actuarial Science
- Master of Applied Economics and Policy
- Applicants must demonstrate a strong academic record and a commitment to creating a positive global impact through their studies and future endeavors.
- Scholarship Award:
- The Global Impact Scholarship is a financial award totaling $4,000.
- The scholarship will be disbursed at a rate of $1,000 per term for the duration of the recipient's course-based master program at the University of Windsor.
- The scholarship is valid for the Spring 2024, Fall 2024, and Winter 2025 terms only.
- Designated Countries
The scholarship is open to citizens of the following countries:- ASEAN (except Viet Nam): Brunei, Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand
- Caribbean: The Bahamas, Barbados, Cuba, Dominica, Dominican Republic, Grenada, Haiti, Jamaica, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Trinidad and Tobago

- Application Process:
- The application deadline for the Global Impact Scholarship will be specified by the University of Windsor and communicated to prospective applicants.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
- Selection Process:
- The selection of scholarship recipients will be based on academic merit, commitment to positive global impact, and fulfillment of eligibility criteria.
- The University of Windsor's scholarship committee will review all eligible applications and make final decisions on scholarship awards.
- Scholarship Disbursement:
- Scholarship funds will be disbursed directly to the recipient's account once the student has registered for the term.
- The scholarship amount will be distributed in equal installments per term on the registered course-based master program.
- The scholarship has a maximum value of $4,000 distributed in a maximum of $1,000 per term. Term extensions will not receive any extra disbursement.
- General Provisions:
- The Global Impact Scholarship is valid for the Spring 2024, Fall 2024, and Winter 2025 terms only.
- The University of Windsor reserves the right to modify or terminate the Global Impact Scholarship program at its discretion.
- Scholarship recipients are expected to maintain satisfactory academic progress throughout their master's program.
- Any misrepresentation of information in the scholarship application may result in the revocation of the scholarship.
- Decisions of the scholarship committee are final and not subject to appeal.
