The Odette MBA-PAS (Master of Business Administration – Professional Accounting Specialization), is a one-of-a-kind program for aspiring business leaders who are pursuing the CPA designation.

The MBA-PAS program allows students to complete 4 of the 6 required modules in the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP) within a Master of Business Administration degree. In semester 1, students complete 5 accounting courses in-person. During semesters 2 and 3, students complete the remaining MBA course requirements through online delivery. Students following this pathway can begin in summer or fall semesters.

Applicants with a completed CPA designation and two years of work experience may qualify for advanced standing in the MBA-PAS program. These students will complete six courses over 3 semesters completely online.

The MBA-PAS program is flexible, experiential, and cultivates a learning environment where synergies from diverse backgrounds contribute to the education of a well-rounded Chartered Professional Accountant and business leader.

Admission Requirements

Student in Canada

  • Successful completion of 120 credit hour undergraduate degree
  • A cumulative GPA of 70% in the previous academic degree/last 20 courses/ 4 full-time semesters and minimum average of 70% CGPA in Core Preparatory Courses.
  • GMAT Executive Assessment
  • Applicants whose native language is not English must achieve a satisfactory score on one of the following tests.
    Test of an English Foreign Language (TOEFL) (600 paper, 250 computer, 100 IBT)
    International English Language Testing System (IELST) – (7.0)
    This requirement is waived for applicants who have obtained a university degree from a
    North American Institution
  • No prior work experience is required but all applicants must submit an updated resume and letter of intent.
  • Two letters of reference
  • Students must be eligible to begin the CPA Professional Education Program (CPA PEP)

*English language improvement programs are available if you require extra training prior to entry into the academic program, or have received lower-than-required test scores.

**Applicants who have a four-year Bachelor of Commerce degree, minimum two years of work experience, and a completed CPA designation may qualify for advanced standing in the MBA Professional Accounting Specialization program. The determination for direct entry into the MBA phase of the program is granted by the MBA Professional Accounting Specialization Program Director.

Student outside of Canada
