The Odette 16-month MBA provides students with personalized preparation for a successful career in business. This unique program offers students a fast-paced learning environment using an experiential approach to education.

Students from both business and non-business backgrounds are welcome in the program. Entrants typically have two to five years of work experience, but no work experience is required to apply.

The exclusive Advanced Program for Experiential Consulting (APEX) is integrated into the program, providing students the opportunity to work alongside corporate leaders on real-world projects with personalized instruction.

Admission Requirements

For students in Canada

Completion of a 4-year bachelor degree (or equivalent) from an accredited institution


A cumulative GPA of 70% or above, calculated based on the last 2 years of full time studies of the qualifying degree.


One academic or professional reference. No prior work experience is required but all applicants must submit an updated resume and letter of intent.


Any student whose native language is not English, or did not receive a degree from a North American University or any countries listed on the exemption list, must achieve a satisfactory score on one of the following tests: IELTS 7, TOEFL 100, Duolingo 120, ELIP 3


GMAT Assessment GMAT Waivers will be granted for students who have any of the qualifications listed below. (Students are encouraged to take GMAT, as high GMAT score is not only a strong admission criterion, but it is also used in awarding some entrance scholarships.)


CPA, CFA, P.Eng, LSAT, MCAT, or have an CGPA of 80% or higher in the last two years from a recognized university.


A qualifying interview with the Program Administrator and/or Director of MBA

Kent Walker

Ph.D.

Kent is a professor in the Strategy and Entrepreneurship area and a previous director of the MBA program. He has taught MBA students for over 10 years and aligned with his research he teaches Business Ethics and Sustainability, as well as Mandate Consulting. He practices what he preaches as a part owner and instructor with Hot Yoga Awareness and Fitness, Windsor’s longest running hot yoga studio, now with two locations. He has published in top academic journals such as the Journal of Business Ethics and Organizational Studies, and is also the author of a book on meditation.

Gerry Kerr

M.B.A., Ph.D.
Gerry Kerr holds a Ph.D. from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and he joined the University of Windsor’s Odette School of Business in 2001. Articles spanning aspects of both Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship have appeared in Business Horizons, Frontiers of Entrepreneurship Research, Journal of Management History, Journal of Small Business and Entrepreneurship, and Personnel Psychology, among others. Dr. Kerr has also gratefully received multiple teaching awards from undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Gerry has served as M.B.A. Program Director, Chair of the Strategy and Entrepreneurship Area, and on multiple committees at Odette and the university level. Dr. Kerr has managerial experience in small, medium-sized, and large firms, and he was also a long-time member of the board of directors, including the presidency, of the Canadian Council for Small Business and Entrepreneurship (CCSBE/CCMPE).

Hajar Fatemi

Ph.D.
Hajar is a Ph.D. marketing graduate of McGill University in Montreal. Having worked for more than 5 years in the consulting industry, her academic journey was inspired by her business and professional experiences. Hajar’s research aligns with current trends in the Marketing field, which include topics such as consumer behavior, social marketing, advertising effectiveness, and corporate social responsibility. Her work has been funded by SSHRC and FQRSC, with results published in journals such as Advances in Consumer Research, European Journal of Marketing, and Baltic Journal of Management.

Dr. Anne W. Snowdon, RN, PhD, FAAN

Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship, CEO of SCAN Health
Dr. Anne Snowdon is a Professor of Strategy and Entrepreneurship at the Odette School of Business. Dr. Snowdon is currently leading a national Community of Practice focused on advancing supply chain resilience in Canadian health systems, funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council in Canada for $2.5 million. This work builds on a well established program of research focused on Digital Health, Digitally enabled Supply Chain capacity to deliver safe and equitable care, and health system innovation. Dr. Snowdon has published more than 150 research articles, papers and cases, has received over $25 million in research funding, holds patents and has commercialized a highly successful booster seat product for children traveling in vehicles, and is a Fulbright Scholar.
