Welcome to FAHSS Orientation! Your first step into the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences! This is a FAHSS-tastic opportunity to get to know your new academic home, meet other students, and start your university journey feeling confident, connected, and FAHSS-nomenal! Throughout orientation, you will take part in fun and interactive activities, meet upper year student leaders, and learn all about FAHSS! You will also attend engaging presentations introducing you to members of the FAHSS-mily and exploring the Arts, Humanities, and Social Science pillars that shape FAHSS! Orientation is all about making connections, and there will be plenty of opportunities to meet new friends and get involved! You can also look forward to exciting giveaways, FAHSS merchandise, and activities that showcase your FAHSS pride! Whether you are meeting new friends, asking questions, or exploring campus life, there is something here for everyone! We cannot wait to meet you and officially welcome you to the FAHSS-MILY!

We are incredibly excited to welcome you to the Odette School of Business! As a part of welcoming you to this new chapter of your life, we are inviting you to attend a mandatory Orientation session. Meet Odette staff and students, connect with your H.O.U.S.E. Mentor, take part in Odette Student Success Centre presentations, and participate in a day filled with fun activities. This session is open to Odette School of Business undergraduate first-year and new transfer students only.

Calling all future educators! This orientation is designed to help new Concurrent Education students begin their academic journey with confidence. Students will receive an overview of the Concurrent Education program, including key requirements, important milestones, and what to expect throughout their studies. The session will also provide an update on recent changes to the Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) program. Students will also learn practical strategies for academic success, including time management, study skills, and ways to stay engaged in university life.

The Faculty of Engineering and the WINONE First-Year Office will welcome first-year students to their undergraduate programs with a presentation and introductions to some important people and services in the Faculty. The orientation is mandatory – so plan to be there! Information and resources essential to your success will be provided. The Engineering Students Society will also be on hand. Registration opens at 11:30am and the program starts at 12:00pm.

During the HK Program Orientation, incoming undergraduate students will have the opportunity to meet faculty and staff, their KinOne Leaders, and HK Society representatives while enjoying a complimentary lunch. Students will participate in a session led by their Student Success Coordinator to support their transition to university, tour the Toldo Lancer Centre, take part in hands-on activities, and learn the popular HK chant in preparation for the Welcoming Ceremony. Students are encouraged to show their team spirit by wearing their favourite sports team jersey, athletic apparel, or team t-shirt. Don’t have a favourite team? Get creative and make your own team shirt to showcase your personality and enthusiasm as you begin your HK journey!

Nursing Program Orientation (Sept. 9, 2026: 8:30am-2:30pm; Toldo Health Education Centre, Room 100): This session is mandatory. Nursing students will be welcomed by Faculty and Staff, especially those teaching in year 1 for the fall semester. Throughout the session, students will learn about main concepts within the nursing curriculum and will be introduced to various resources and supports that will help students transition to year 1 nursing courses. An Experiential Learning Lab orientation will be provided along with many opportunities for students to ask questions about pre-clearance clinical requirements, Brightspace, Accessibility Services, and more. An optional short tour of the nursing labs at the end of the day will be available. Please note: All experiential learning labs will start the week of Sept 14th. All Human Anatomy & Physiology labs will start the week of Sept 14th. Continental breakfast and lunch will be provided. Please bring a reusable water bottle for your day and your laptop or device. PASS – Preparation for Academic Success in Science is an orientation program for all incoming Science students. PASS introduces Science students to all available academic support, volunteering opportunities and social programs to enrich their undergraduate experience.

Welcome to your home Department of Biology! In our session, you’ll meet faculty, students, and staff, who are committed to help you succeed in your program. You will also be introduced to your program, courses, and the resources that we have put together to help you as you move through your studies and experiences at UWindsor! Be prepared to get acquainted with some of the places and things you’ll work with in your program through a BIOQUEST scavenger hunt and maybe even win a prize!

This orientation will provide an introduction to the program for first-year computer science students at the University of Windsor. First-years will gain an in-depth outlook on this career field and will learn how their degree will help them contribute to further knowledge in computer science. Furthermore, students will also be introduced to the Computer Science Society on campus and learn how to get involved early on. Lunch and refreshments will be provided after orientation.

The orientation session will provide an introduction to our forensic science programs. Students will have an opportunity to meet some of the faculty and current forensic science students and learn more about our UWin Forensic Club and events.

Welcome to the Department of Physics and Medical Physics! Join us at orientation to meet faculty, senior students, and your fellow incoming Physics and Medical Physics students. You’ll learn what to expect during your first year, hear advice from students who have been in your shoes, and discover the many academic, research, and extracurricular opportunities available to you. Our student-led Physics Club will also introduce some of their activities and share ways to get involved in the Department and connect with the broader physics community. Faculty and current students will be on hand to answer your questions and help you get off to a great start. This is a must-attend event for incoming Physics and Medical Physics majors who want to make the most of their first year at the University of Windsor. Our Department of Economics orientation introduces incoming students to the program’s structure, faculty, and available resources. Economics gives you tools to understand issues like inflation, labour markets, and public policy, using both theory and real data. Orientation will cover degree requirements and course planning, introductions to faculty and academic advisors, and opportunities to get involved through applied projects, research assistantships, and career development resources. Students will also learn about support services available throughout the program, from academic advising to career planning. Whether you’re just starting to explore economics or already know it’s the right fit, orientation is a chance to meet your instructors, understand what to expect, and start building the skills and connections that will support you through your degree.
