The new Mechatronics Systems Engineering (MSE) program aims to leverage machine learning, artificial intelligence, and computer vision techniques to enhance mechatronics system performance. The MSE program offers two areas of specialization: 1) Autonomous Vehicles and 2) Intelligent Manufacturing, which are in increasingly high demand in the labour market. Graduates of the MSE program will possess a deep understanding of both theoretical concepts and practical applications, enabling them to contribute to advancing technology and tackling current and future engineering challenges.
Sample Courses: Kinematics & Dynamic of Machines, Solid Mechanics, Fluid Power Systems, Thermodynamics and Heat Transfer, Computer Integrated Manufacturing, Autonomous Systems-Localization, Navigation and Mapping Systems
Career Tracks: Mechatronics professionals work across various industries to design, test, and implement smart technologies like robotics, automated systems, and applications. These industries can include: information technology (IT) automotive research, design, and manufacturing.
Course Requirements: Advanced Functions/MHF4U, Chemistry/SCH4U, Physics/SPH4U. English/ENG4U.
