Head Start is an on-campus summer orientation program for incoming first-year students and their parents and supporters, run by the Student Success & Leadership Centre.
Join us for Head Start 2025 as we welcome incoming students from FAHSS and Concurrent Education! This tailored day will introduce you to the campus, student life, and academic success tools you’ll need to start strong. You’ll meet your future peers and faculty, tour key buildings, and get insights from upper-year students. Whether you’re pursuing a creative passion or preparing for a teaching career, this day is designed to help you thrive.

Parents, guests, and other supporters have the opportunity to ask questions they have about their student’s transition to University. Current students and University of Windsor faculty members will share their insights.
Join us for a complimentary BBQ lunch and take part in any of our optional afternoon offerings. Have a question about the meal plan? Don’t know where to pick up your UWin ID? Feel free to visit one of the resource fair booths or ask any of our staff members in navy blue and gold shirts.
Are you in Concurrent Education? This session will help you navigate your undergraduate degree requirements alongside your Bachelor of Education degree requirements. You will also connect with education society representatives and faculty members! At the conclusion of this session, participants will be offered a campus tour by one of our student leaders.
Do you need help navigating course registration? This session will orient you to the various features of UWinsite and offers in-person assistance from an Academic Advisor.
Get your UWindsor campus gear by visiting our Campus Bookstore. This is your opportunity to get a feel for where your textbooks will be available for pick up in September.
Do you have finance related questions? Drop by our Student Awards and Financial Aid Office to get information and resources about financial aid eligibility and awards open to students.
Join us for an afternoon of touring some of the key locations on the University of Windsor Campus. Learn more about the locations and their amenities while taking the opportunity to ask questions and get a sneak peak at what Campus life at UWindsor might look like for you!
Note: You do not need to stay for the whole tour! You are welcome to join or leave the tour at any time. If there is anything else you would like to see that is not on this schedule, please ask one of our staff members in the blue and gold shirts!

Tours will be offered every 45 minutes (1:45pm, 2:30pm, 3:15pm) located at the Armouries Building – 37 University Ave. E.
School of Social Work
Tours will be offered every 30 minutes (1:30pm, 2:00pm, 2:30pm, 3:00pm) located at Windsor Hall – 167 Ferry St.
Socal Work Academic Advising will be available between 1pm and 3pm.
Downtown Parking: Please visit the DJ booth at lunch to obtain a free parking token for our downtown parking lots.
