Overview

Head Start is an on-campus summer orientation program for incoming first-year students and their parents and supporters, run by the Student Success & Leadership Centre.

This Head Start evening session is uniquely created for mature, transfer, and part-time students who are starting or continuing their post-secondary journey. You’ll gain valuable tips for balancing your responsibilities, hear from fellow students who’ve walked a similar path, and get familiar with the campus and its supports. It’s an encouraging and practical start to your academic success.

Parking will be available in the Assumption Hall parking lot.

Attend a presentation focused on the transition to UWindsor as a mature, part-time, and/or transfer student. This session will address potential obstacles and opportunities to ensure a smooth integration.

Hear from Grant Yocom, a University of Windsor Graduate, who pursued his degrees as a part time student, share his experiences and insights on navigating university life and beyond.

Student Panel

7:10 pm - 7:45 pm

Engage with current and past MTP students as they discuss their experiences. This panel offers an excellent opportunity to ask questions and gain valuable insights.

Student Campus Tour

7:45 pm - 8:30 pm

Take a tour of the campus to see the many resources available! Locate the buildings where some of your classes will be held and get connected with other first year students.
