    Overview

    Head Start is an on-campus summer orientation program for incoming first-year students and their parents and supporters, run by the Student Success & Leadership Centre.
    This full-day event welcomes students entering the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Nursing, or the Concurrent Education program. With program-specific success sessions, Q&As with current students, and opportunities to connect with faculty and peers, you’ll build the confidence and connections needed to start your UWindsor journey strong. Whether you’re headed for a lab, a clinical setting, or a dual-degree path in education, this day will help set the foundation for your academic success.

    Connecting to Education

    Are you in Concurrent Education? This session will help you navigate your undergraduate degree requirements alongside your Bachelor of Education degree requirements. You will also connect with education society representatives and faculty members! At the conclusion of this session, participants will be offered a campus tour by one of our student leaders.

    Navigating UWinsite Student

    Do you need help navigating course registration? This session will orient you to the various features of UWinsite and offers in-person assistance from an Academic Advisor.

    Visit The Campus Bookstore!

    Get your UWindsor campus gear by visiting our Campus Bookstore until 3pm. This is your opportunity to get a feel for where your textbooks will be available for pick up in September.

    Afternoon Tours (Leaving the DJ Booth at 1:30pm)

    Join us for an afternoon of touring some of the key locations on the University of Windsor Campus. Learn more about the locations and their amenities while taking the opportunity to ask questions and get a sneak peak at what Campus life at UWindsor might look like for you!

    Note: You do not need to stay for the whole tour! You are welcome to join or leave the tour at any time. If there is anything else you would like to see that is not on this schedule, please ask one of our staff members in the blue and gold shirts!

    Living Off Campus Tour

    The length of the Living Off Campus Tour is approximately 1 hour and will include the following stops:

    • Leddy Library (10 minutes)
    • Science Buildings (20 minutes)
    • Toldo Lancer Centre (40 minutes)
