Through this partnership, eligible University of Windsor science students who complete the required prerequisite coursework and meet academic requirements will receive a guaranteed admissions interview for the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) Professional Division at the University of Toledo. The PharmD program prepares graduates for careers in community pharmacy, hospital pharmacy, clinical practice, research, industry, and other healthcare settings.
The admissions interview
Eligible students participate in an admissions interview with the University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.
What the interview evaluates:
Admissions decisions are based on a holistic review of each applicant, including:
Academic preparedness.
Commitment to the pharmacy profession.
Personal characteristics and professionalism.
Motivation for pursuing a PharmD degree.
Communication skills, including verbal and written abilities.
All applicants are assessed using the same criteria and expectations as traditional PharmD applicants.
Your pathway from UWin to PharmD
The PharmD Guaranteed Interview Program creates a streamlined pathway for eligible students completing science studies at the University of Windsor.
Step 1
Complete the required prerequisite science coursework at the University of Windsor.
Step 2
Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 across all required prerequisite courses.
Step 3
Apply to the University of Toledo’s PharmD Professional Division through the partnership pathway.
Step 4
Receive a guaranteed admissions interview and complete the interview assessment process.
Meeting the pathway requirements guarantees an interview for admission consideration—it does not guarantee admission to the PharmD program. All applicants are evaluated using the same admissions standards applied to other PharmD candidates.
